Seodaegu Train Station

Seodaegu Train Station serves both high-speed railways and the Daegu Metropolitan Railroad. It is the heart of transportation in the western part of Daegu and was built to promote balanced regional development. The three-story modern structure is a symbol of the region and a landmark station that supports the development of its surrounding areas. It is located in Bisan 7-dong, Seo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, and was formerly in Wondae-dong, Seo-gu. It is also called the Bukbu Parking Lot or Bukbu Bus Stop by Daegu and other local residents. The Daegu city bus’s on-board passenger announcement also calls it Bukbu Bus Stop. It is the largest among Daegu's intercity bus terminals. The number of routes to Gangwon-do is the largest in Daegu, making it a place that many soldiers visit. It connects the most parts of the nation, including Gyeongsangbuk-do, Busan Metropolitan City, Jeollabuk-do (Muju-gun), Chungcheongbuk-do, Chungcheongnam-do, Gyeonggi-do, Incheon Metropolitan City, and Gangwon-do.

On June 10, 1969, Dongdaegu Station started operating as a regular station. KTX, Saemaeul, and Mugunghwa are in operation and it performs the job of ticket issuance for passengers and cargo. Seobu Intercity Bus Terminal began operating on July 19, 1975 and has 1,871,000 users per annum (as of 2002). Main routes are Gyeongju, Pohang, Gumi, Seongju, Masan, Jinju, Hapcheon, Goryeong, Bugok, Haeinsa, Jeonnam and Jeonbuk. Special summer services are operated in Namhae-gun “Sangju Beach”, Muju Gucheon-dong, Baemsagol, and Baekmu-dong, running 4-6 times a day.
Daegu Station

Daegu Station building was built in 1904 along with construction of Gyeongbu Railway. As it was located near the North Gate of the former Daegu Fortress before it was demolished in 1906, it played a role as the place where commercial activities took place for the first time in Daegu. Daily getting-in and getting-out passengers are 10,500 and 11,500 respectively on average, operating the Gyeongbu lines of Daegu-Seoul and Daegu-Busan, and other lines of Daegu-Pohang, and Daegu-Jinju.
